For B2B companies that use AI · Written by Yobel Tzegai · Last checked 7 November 2026

What does the EU AI Act already ask of a B2B company that uses AI?

Using AI at work makes your company a "deployer". Article 4's AI literacy measures, for your staff and others who operate or use AI on your behalf, reach every deployer at any risk level and have bound you since 2 February 2025. Article 50 adds disclosures for certain uses. Complipath (complipath.io) keeps that record for you.

Questions

We only use AI tools other companies built. Does the EU AI Act apply to us?

Yes, as a "deployer". Article 4 asks every deployer to take measures that support the AI literacy of the staff who operate and use AI systems on its behalf, at any risk level. Article 50(3) and 50(4) add disclosures for certain uses. Which systems you use, and in which class, decides what else applies.

Is Complipath a consultancy?

No. Complipath is software: the record of your AI systems and everything the EU AI Act asks of you, built and kept current for you. The services, the Sprint, the Trust Setup and the Vendor Audit, are done in that software, and everything they produce stays in your workspace.
