Can I ask Complipath about an AI system I am unsure about?
Yes, on Starter and the trial. In Complipath (complipath.io), a form sends the system's name, what it does, who uses it, links and your question. It becomes a system in your register, marked under review. The founder replies on its page. The two working days is a promise with no alert behind it. The reply is never a classification.
Send a system you are unsure about: it goes into your register as under review and uses a system slot, and the founder replies in the app; the aim is two working days, which nothing in the app enforces. The reply is information, never a classification.

What it does
A form with five fields: the system's name, what it does, who uses it (optional), links (optional) and what you are unsure about.
Sending creates an ordinary system in your register, with what it does as its purpose, and keeps your submission beside it.
Until the reply comes, the system's pages show "Under review by Complipath", the date you sent it and your question.
The founder sees every unanswered submission in an admin list, oldest first, with the date two working days after it was sent.
The reply is written once and shown at the top of the system's pages, with the line that it is information and not a classification, and a link to answer the questions.
The person who sent it gets an email that a reply is waiting. The email does not carry the reply; it links to the page.
Who it is for
A compliance lead or CTO with one system that does not fit the questions cleanly: a tool that might rank people or might only sort their documents, or a vendor product whose purpose is vague.
How you use it, step by step
On AI Inventory, choose "Not sure about a system? Send it to us."
Fill in the five fields and press "Send it to us".
You land on the new system's page, marked under review. Add files on its Evidence tab; the form takes none.
When the reply comes, read it on the system's page, then answer the questions. The rules classify the system from your answers, and a person on your team confirms it.
Which plan
Starter and up, the trial included. On Free the link is shown, the page says the form is included in Starter and in the trial, and the server refuses a send.
Sending creates a system, so it uses one of your plan's system slots. On the trial, which holds three systems, it is one of the three.
Where it sits in the law
Whether a tool is an AI system at all turns on the definition in Article 3, point (1).
Whether it is high-risk is set by Article 6: Article 6(1) for AI that is, or is a safety component of, a product under the laws in Annex I needing a third-party conformity assessment; Article 6(2) for the uses in Annex III.
Article 6(3) sets the derogation from Article 6(2). Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 inserted paragraphs 1a and 1b on what counts as a safety component, and 1c on a conformity assessment required only for risks other than health and safety.
The reply does not apply these provisions for you. It is information; the class comes from the rules applied to your answers.
What it does not do
Nothing alerts the founder to a new submission or escalates a late one. The two working days is a promise; the admin list only shows the date it falls due, in red once it has passed.
The reply never sets or changes a classification. It is stored in a field the classification does not read.
The form takes no files. Add them on the system's Evidence tab after sending.
"Under review" shows on the system's own pages, not in the inventory list.
The email goes only if mail is set up and the sender is still in the workspace. Otherwise the reply waits on the page without one.
The reply is written once. There is no thread in the app for a follow-up question.
Where it is in the app
AI Inventory, under the page heading: "Not sure about a system? Send it to us." The reply appears at the top of that system's pages.
The founder of Complipath, through an admin list that only Complipath's platform admins can open. It shows the system's name, your workspace's name, the five fields and the sender's email address. The submission is stored in your workspace and deleted with it; sending writes only to your workspace's own records.
Is the reply within two working days guaranteed?
It is a promise a person keeps, not an automated guarantee. The app counts two days, Monday to Friday, from the moment you send and shows the founder that date, in red once it has passed. It sends him no alert, and nothing happens on its own if the date is missed.
Does the reply classify my system?
No. The reply is information, stored in a field the classification never reads, and the page says so beside it. The system's class comes from the rules applied to your answers to its questions, as for every other system, and a person on your team confirms it.
Which plan includes it?
Starter, at €499 a month for up to 20 AI systems, and the trial: the code opens the form to both. Prices exclude VAT. Sending creates a system, so it uses one of your plan's slots. Free holds one system with no end date, and does not include this form. Growth and Scale are not available yet.
