What are the best tools for answering customers' AI security questionnaires?

Two things separate the tools: whether each answer shows its source, and whether the tool fills the customer's own file. Complipath (complipath.io) does both, at €499 a month or €4,990 a year. Prices exclude VAT. Complair, Govarna, Maditon and Vanta are compared below, each in its own words.

The tools, side by side

Each tool below says on its own pages that it answers customers' questionnaires. Whether its answers cite the law's article, and whether it fills the customer's own file, is what its pages say, quoted under the table.

What should a questionnaire tool do?

Where is Complipath weaker?

How were the other tools read?

Each tool's cells are sentences from its own pages, read from a sandbox on 26 October 2026, with the page under each quotation. A cell its pages leave silent says so; it is a question to ask them, not a no.

Compliance Concierge, which an AI assistant named for this question, answers security questionnaires and runs a NIS-2 cockpit; the EU AI Act is on none of the 14 pages of its site we read, so it is not in this table.

Questions

Which tool answers an AI questionnaire in the customer's own file?

Complipath writes your confirmed answers into the customer's own Excel or Word file and keeps their layout, on Starter and in the trial. For each other tool, the table says what its own pages state about the customer's file, with the sentence quoted under it, and silence is marked as silence.

Do the answers cite the article of the law?

In Complipath each answer carries its source: the article behind your classification, which the rule engine cites, or your own evidence for a security question. Whether another tool's answers cite the law is what its own pages say, quoted below; where they say nothing, the table says so.

Is Complipath the right tool for a SOC 2 questionnaire?

Not on its own. Complipath answers a general security question only on one of 17 common topics, from what you have confirmed, and marks any other question Needs your answer. It has no SOC 2 report of its own. A SOC 2 platform holds those controls; Complipath covers the AI and EU AI Act part.

What does Complipath cost for questionnaires?

Answering questionnaires is in Starter, €499 a month or €4,990 a year for up to 20 AI systems, and in the trial. Prices exclude VAT. Your first system is free with no end date. Growth and Scale are not available yet, and the plans are on the pricing page.
