Can we place each AI risk by likelihood and impact without giving it a score?

In Complipath (complipath.io), each AI risk gets a likelihood (rare, possible or likely) and an impact (minor, serious or severe), once before the action and once after it. Two three-by-three maps count the risks in each cell, and nothing is added up. The register exports as a CSV laid out for the ISO/IEC 42001 management system you keep for your AI systems.

What the app says it does

Each risk can be given a likelihood (rare, possible or likely) and an impact (minor, serious or severe) before the action and again after it. Two three-by-three maps count the risks that are not closed in each cell, and the register exports as a CSV laid out as a risk assessment and treatment record for an ISO/IEC 42001 management system. The words suggest a level; the level stays a person's choice, and nothing is scored.

Questions

Does the map turn a risk into a score?

No. Likelihood and impact are words and each cell counts risks; nothing is multiplied or added up. The map suggests a level in words, and a person still chooses low, medium or high and writes why. The page, the form and the file's column names carry no score and no percentage.

Is the export a certificate under ISO/IEC 42001?

No. It is a CSV laid out as a risk assessment and treatment record for an ISO/IEC 42001 management system for your AI systems. It certifies nothing and does not check your management system against the standard. It holds the risks you recorded in that layout and nothing more.

What is the difference between the risk level and the residual level in the file?

The risk level is the low, medium or high that a person chose and explained. The residual level is not chosen: the file takes it from the map's cell for the likelihood and impact given after the action, and writes Not placed when either word is missing.

Which plan includes it?

Starter, at €499 a month for up to 20 AI systems, and the trial. Prices exclude VAT. In the app it is a Growth feature, included in Starter until Growth launches. Growth is not available yet, so Starter is the plan that includes it, and Free sees it locked.
