Can an AI assistant answer EU AI Act questions with sources you can check?

Complipath (complipath.io) has an assistant for questions about the AI Act and your register. Every law quote must stand word for word in the Official Journal text Complipath holds, or it is removed. It also quotes up to three official EU or data protection pages, with the link and the day read. Rules decide. AI only drafts. A person confirms.

What the app says it does

Quotes what official EU and data protection authority websites say about your legal question, with the link and the day it was read; that search sends your question with names, emails and links taken out.

What it does

Who it is for

A CTO, compliance lead or counsel who needs a quick reading of the law against their own register, with the quote in front of them to check, before deciding or asking a lawyer.

It explains and points. The decision stays with a person.

Questions

What is sent to Anthropic when I ask a question?

Two requests. The answer request carries your question, your register (systems, purposes, owners, vendors, classes, requirements), file names, company details, the last four exchanges and up to five Market & Law entries. The official-source search carries only the question, with your workspace's names, e-mail addresses, links and long numbers taken out, at most 400 characters.

Which official websites does it quote?

Seventeen domains fixed in the app's code: EUR-Lex, four European Commission sites including the AI Act Service Desk, the European Data Protection Board, the European Data Protection Supervisor, and ten national data protection authorities, among them CNIL, IMY and the Irish Data Protection Commission. Each quote carries its link and the day it was read.

Can the assistant classify my system?

No. It never sets, changes or confirms a classification and never says you comply. Where your register records a class, it may not state a different one; where it records none, it may say what the law points to and suggest classifying it. Rules decide. AI only drafts. A person confirms.

Which plan includes it?

Every plan, the free one included: Free has 30 assistant questions a month and the other plans 300, within the plan's monthly AI runs. Search covers your register on every plan; searching the law is Starter and the trial. Starter is €499 a month for up to 20 AI systems. Prices exclude VAT. Growth and Scale are not available yet.
