In Complipath (complipath.io), once a workspace names an Approver, only an Approver can confirm a classification, not even the owner. Six roles set who does what: Owner, Admin, Approver, Contributor, Viewer and Legal. Viewer and Legal see everything and change nothing, and the database itself refuses their writes.
Legal sees everything in the workspace, and once you name an approver only an approver can confirm a classification. The rule counts the people working in the workspace at that moment: while every named approver has switched to another of their workspaces, anyone who can edit can confirm.

Not once the workspace has an Approver. From then on only an Approver can confirm a classification, and that includes the owner, who can make herself an Approver in Settings → Team if she should be the one to confirm. Until anyone is an Approver, everyone who could confirm before still can.
Read everything in the workspace and change nothing. Legal and Viewer are read-only in the database itself, so a write from either role is refused even if a screen offers it. The Legal role is for counsel who should see the register, the classifications and the documentation without being able to alter them.
The request waits ten seconds, so it can be undone, and then every approver in the workspace gets an email. Approvers see it in Review under Waiting for your approval, with who sent it and when. The sender can remind them once a day or withdraw it until it is decided.
Starter, at €499 a month, and the trial. Prices exclude VAT. In the app, roles and approvals is a Growth feature, included in Starter until Growth launches: Growth is not available yet, so Starter is the plan to buy, and Free does not include it.
