What should an AI literacy training record contain?

Who works with which AI system, what they already know, the measure you took for them with its material and date, and how it was recorded. Article 4 prescribes no record, so this free template from complipath.io is practice, and each column says which part of Article 4(1), as replaced by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, it helps you show.

Questions

Does Article 4 require a training record?

No. Article 4(1), as replaced by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, requires providers and deployers to take measures to support the AI literacy of their staff and of others using AI systems on their behalf, and it names no document. A record is how you show what you did when a customer or an authority asks.

Do we have to reach a set level of AI literacy?

No. Article 4(1), as replaced by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, says the obligation does not require providers or deployers to guarantee any specific level of AI literacy of any individual. The measures take into account each person's technical knowledge, experience, education and training, the context of use and the persons the systems are used on.

Since when does Article 4 apply?

Since 2 February 2025: Article 4 sits in Chapter I, which applies from that date under Article 113, third paragraph, point (a). The wording in force is Article 4 as replaced by Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, and it applies to providers and deployers whatever the risk class of their systems.

How does Complipath keep this record?

Complipath sends each person who works with AI a short briefing built from the law and your register, records when they press I have read this, marks training done elsewhere as recorded by an admin and gives you the whole record to download as a PDF or a CSV. Nothing in it scores or certifies anyone.
